Greetings from the North Park Village Nature Center located at 5801 N. Pulaski, Chicago, Il. This 46 acre nature center is a great place to tell stories. During warm weather I often tell outside. Pictured below in 1999, Ole Groovy has finally fallen down. Brought down by a sudden summer of 2004 thunderstorm.

I began telling at the nature center after returning from Emerson College, England in January 1997. That winter I approached the Nature Center Staff for the opportunity to tell some stories. They let me have an opportunity and I've been telling ever since.

There is at last one opportunity a month to hear stories at the Nature Center. Friday night storytelling events, Story walk-abouts, campfires, Maple Syrup and Harvest festivals, classes on storytelling for children and adults and the yearly Tellabration event in November. So, come by, enjoy a walk, a story and the wonderful sounds of nature at this urban oasis.
