Nature Center/North Shore Storytelling Guild
                        Meets the 3rd Wednesday of each Month: 
                        November 19th, December 17, January 21, February  16, March 18
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 ish pm

        Healing Stories 
I tell humorous and healing stories twice monthly at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. I tell stories to adult patients in a group setting. We usually have a lively discussion, swap a few jokes and stories. On occasion I go room to room.

Tellabration 2008
10th Annual Tellabration Event - Join the Nature Center/North Shore Storytelling Guild on Saturday, November 22 by the fireside at the North Park Village Nature Center for  two great storytelling programs. First is the Family Program 4:30 - 6 PM , then from 7 - 9 Adult/Teen Program.. Open to all. Scheduled Storytellers include Zane Chait, Suzie Garfield, Elyne Handler, Danny Kafka, Mark Kater and Megan McDonald.

The Night Of Terror 
 Friday, October 24  7 - 9 PM - Join me around the campfire (or by the fireside  if weather is frightening) at the North Park Village Nature Center for Scary Halloween stories. Springing Ahead Storytelling Night

Tongue Waggers Storytelling Class
 Tongue Waggers is back. Kids join Storyteller Mark Kater on a fun trip through story land as they create their own stories. This special class is for kids aged 8 and up. Kids improve creative thinking, communication skills, and artistic development.

Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration
Come out and celebrate the Earth.  Animal and Nature stories of the earth with storyteller Mark Kater. All are welcome at this free family friendly event.

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
Going Batty for Spring! Stores of Bats and Animals on this Nature Walk around the Museum. Program will be held inside if weather is bad.

Maple Syrup Festival 
Saturday and Sunday, March 29 & 30 10 AM - 3 PM This is my 11th appearance at the festival. Storytelling time varies. Starting around 10:30 until 2:30. Cold or wet weather storytelling will be inside. Folks who come out to this free event are treated to various programs including: learning how trees are tapped, how to boil sap into syrup (and tasting it too), guided walks, live music and my stories of spring.
